A city girl?

A friend just moved into the heart of Chicago. Looking out of his apartment, I thought about how I would love to live in the middle of a big city for a few years. I imagined my own place, decorated with my own designs, precious finds from thrift stores, and not forgetting unique pieces of art from Etsy. I imagined walking fast, with the crowd along the busy streets. I imagined sitting in a park or a cafe during weekends looking at people rushing by. But I also thought about how lonely it might get if one was alone in a big city. Looking out of the window, looking down at the park below, all the smiling faces, happy voices, and to be alone in an apartment just watching.
